Diana Damrau and Mariss Jansons get together for Richard Strauss’s Four Last Songs. The voice of one of the world’s leading sopranos and the luxury sound of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra merge to a Strauss rendition at its best. Mariss Jansons’s devotion to sacral music of the classic and romantic period comes to light with Bruckner’s Mass No. 3.
