Celebrated virtuoso Yuja Wang is working her way through the repertoire backwards: having started with showpieces à la Rachmaninoff, she turns here to the less technical, more interpretative challenges of Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto, demonstrating her flair for refined melodic lines. In the second half, Lorenzo Viotti and the Vienna Symphony play Shostakovich’s 10th Symphony with its prominent DSCH-motif.
