Bernhard Haitink Conducts Beethoven: Symphony No. 9

Just before his 90th birthday, Bernard Haitink led a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the BRSO and BR Chorus. This occasion turned out as the culmination of a musical friendship which has been lasting over 60 years and which has always been an example of musical discipline and intensity.
