Nahasdzáán Or The Shining World

  • Nahasdzáán or the shining world © Théâtre de Caen

For a few years now, Thierry Pécou's music has been based on distant traditions from the Western world, like here with Nahasdzáán or the sparkling world, which refers to the healing ceremonies of the Navajo Indians. An oratorio that "sheds light on the relationship between medicine and social harmony, in the context of our societies destabilized by the speed of its technological evolution". Musicians embracing the symbolism of Navajo cardinal points, dances from the deep territories of the body, apparitions of an eagle or a wolf to reveal another space-time will lead you into an almost shamanic experience.
