Folk Songs From Prekmurje

Prekmurje is a lowland region in the extreme north-east part of Slovenia, stretching from the upper banks of the Mura river. Its rich folk tradition intertwines numerous influences, as it borders three countries, namely Croatia, Hungary and Austria. Its original folk tradition includes music and dialect, which hasn't followed the Slovenian literary language for a long time. Part of this authenticity is preserved in Prekmurje folk songs, presented by the RTV SlovenijaYouth Choir, members of the RTV Slovenija Symphony Orchestra and visiting artist, multiinstrumentalist Bostjan Gombac under the baton of conductor and music arranger Lojze Krajncan.
