From Salzburger Festspiele 2019: West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, Martha Argerich, Daniel Barenboim

  • Martha Argerich © Adriano Heitmann

The Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with the wonderful Martha Argerich as soloist is a highlight of the 2019 Salzburg Festival concert by Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. Martha Argerich has been playing at the highest level for more than 60 years now, and with Daniel Barenboim she has enjoyed a decade-long friendship. The programme is framed by Franz Schubert's famous Unfinished Symphony and the Concerto for Orchestra by Witold Lutosławski, the most popular work by the Polish Composer.
