Händels Masterpiece – Acis And Galatea

As Georg Friedrich Händel composed his first dramatic work in the English language, Acis And Galatea, he also lay the groundwork for his later famous oratories. To get to the core of Händels intentions, conductor Olof Boman researched the original scores and gathered his favorite musicians around Europe at the historic stage Confidencen from 1753. In this successful staging the young lovers are portrayed by lyrical tenor sensation Hyojong Kim and award winning soprano Ylva Stenberg. As soon as the overture starts, their happiness is threatened by nature’s cruel creatures.
