Midsummer Night’s Gala From Grafenegg

The by now traditional Grafenegg Midsummer Night’s Gala, with its special atmosphere, where music, nature and architecture blend into an all-embracing work of art, has become a world-renowned musical highlight. The Tonkünstler-Orchester accompanies Austrian violinist Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Bulgarian soprano Sonya Yoncheva – one of the leading singers of her generation – and French baritone Ludovic Tézier, who celebrate their festival debut on the Wolkenturm stage. Yutaka Sado conducts a programme of great arias and duets with virtuoso music from Tchaikovsky through Bizet and Puccini to Kreissler, ending with Elgar’s great Pomp And Circumstance.
