Miyako Yoshida’s Farewell Performance: Last Dance

  • © NHK – Japan Broadcasting Corporation

This is the final performance of Miyako Yoshida, who held the position of principal dancer at the Royal Ballet for 15 years and went on to give a number of performances as a freelance ballet dancer. The programme includes works that represent her ballet career and top dancers from the two countries belonging to the Royal Ballet, the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the National Ballet of Japan gathered to present highlights of memorable masterpieces with Yoshida. A joint appearance with Irek Mukhamedov, a master dancer who partnered with Yoshida when she joined the Royal Ballet, offers a special moment.
