The opera houses would be much poorer without their gay fans who adore the opera with its main themes: love and death. For many gays the opera has always been a safe shelter where they find a few hours of pure happiness. We wanted to find out why many gays worldwide love the opera and especially the high voices of their divas. "I dedicated this film to my friend Werner Schroeter.
