Raphaël Pichon & Pygmalion Perform Monteverdi’s Vespro Della Beata Vergine

  • Pygmalion © Piergab

Young French conductor Raphaël Pichon is the founder of Pygmalion, one of today’s most fascinating and ambitious ensembles for Early Music. Together with a brilliant group of soloists they present Monteverdi’s Vespro Della Beata Vergine, one of the greatest works of music history, in a setting as resplendent as the music they are performing: Versailles’s Chapelle Royale. Light designer Bertand Couderc turns the venue into atmospheric light. (Cat. no.: A 010 50112)
