A World Without Beethoven is a TV documentary celebrating Beethoven's 250th birthday, presented by Sarah Willis, French Horn player in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Ludwig van Beethoven's music has influenced every generation of composers since they were written. The documentary is about the enduring power of his music. The project explores the question, if Beethoven would have never lived, how would music (e.g. jazz, pop music, film music) have developed without his influence? The documentary traces Beethoven's innovations and the marks he has left on the musical world of today.
