Music from East and West empowered many during the time of liberation around the end of the wall that had divided Germany for 28 years in November 1989. This music documentary traces the hopes and hymns from that amazing historical moment and asks what has become of them. 30 years later, walls have not disappeared from the earth and in Germany “East” and “West” are still more than compass directions. With Anna Loos, music legends Silly, Wolfgang Niedecken, Uschi Brüning, Klaus Meine and Ute Freudenberg, young rising stars like Felix Jaehn and US Rock Legend Lenny Kravitz.
