Israeli conductor Lahav Shani is one of the young stars of the baton who has already established a firm worldwide reputation. He was appointed music director of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, succeeding Zubin Mehta in that position. In this concert, he devotes his attention to two masterpieces of the 19th-century orchestral repertoire.
