Orpheus In The Underworld
Celebrating the 200th birthday of the German-French composer Jacques Offenbach, the Salzburg Festival 2019 featured a new production of Orpheus In The Underworld. Barrie Kosky staged the prototype of the "Offenbachiade", which has entered the history of music as a great operetta and a fast-paced satire. The most famous music piece of the operetta is the Hell Can-Can – very humorously staged by Barrie Kosky.
