Very British! – The Young Person's Guide To The Orchestra

The Young Person’s Guide To The Orchestra is featuring Benjamin Britten’s famous both instructive and entertaining orchestral piece. It was performed by the Münchner Rundfunkorchester at Bayerischer Rundfunk’s Studio 1 in Munich, where a crowd of over 200 children had gathered to listen to the music and to Britten’s explanations of the instruments – with the later being narrated in German by Jerzy May, a very prominent voice in Bavarian Radio’s daily programme.
