Visions And Installations

Every year, the New World Symphony is presenting a week-long festival about an instrument in the orchestra. MTT decided to begin with the viola because of its amazing tradition and the new directions and ideas about what the instrument can do. The viola has a wide range of roles in solo and chamber music, music with electronics, and solo concerti of all kinds. This programme, Visions And Installations, includes Nico Muhly's Keep In Touch, Benjamin's Viola, Viola, Berio's Chemins II For Viola And 9 Instruments, and Olivero's Neharót Neharót.
