Arthur Rubinstein: The Farewell Concert
Grandseigneur du piano, Arthur Rubinstein, steps off the stage and gives a musical retrospective of his life. For almost 80 years, Rubinstein captured the hearts of audiences. When he finally stepped back from the limelight at almost 90 years of age, Rubinstein was a living legend. In April 1975, he enchanted audiences a final time with a performance of the celebrated piano concertos that he had made his own, and of course Chopin was on the programme. A Magic Moment Of Music – with touching interviews of today’s artists, celebrities and eyewitnesses.
