Beethoven – A Ghost Play

For the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven, the Mainz State Theatre is realizing a cross-disciplinary project focussing the isolation and loneliness of the artist associated with his hearing loss. The motive of isolation is more topical than ever, since the whole of society is currently in a state of isolation due to COVID-19 related "physical distancing". Beethoven – A Ghost Play is not a classic theatre play, but combines opera, drama, film and puppet show.
