Ludwig Van Beethoven: Choral Fantasy

The Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor dedicated a part of its concert programme to Beethoven’s anniversary, by performing his rarely featured Fantasy for Piano, Chorus and Orchestra. It is often labelled as the “younger sister” of the famous Ninth Symphony and combines seemingly incompatible music forms – a piano concerto, a symphony and a cantata – all into a work of fantasy.
