  • Paavo Järvi and NHK Symphony Orchestra © Gunnar Laak / Eesti Kontsert

The first concert of NHK Symphony Orchestra's Europe Tour 2020 took place in February in Tallinn, Estonia, which is the homeland of their Chief Conductor Paavo Järvi. It was a historical moment since NHK Symphony Orchestra has never visited Estonia in the past. The programme includes Takemitsu's master piece on his later years How Slow The Wind, Schumann's Cello Concerto A minor, performed by Sol Gabetta, Bruckner's Symphony No.7 and encores.
