Ring Ring Ring – Loops And Legends At The Bayreuth Festival

The Bayreuth Festival has been very often a place of controversy and exciting discussion when they decided to invite some of the most fascinating artists. Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus the festival had to cancel and announce, that the new production of The Ring Of The Nibelung needed to be postponed. In the meantime Simon Steen-Andersen tried to explore the empty Festspielhaus and worked with artists, historical recordings, and unheard Instruments of the house itself by installing The Loop Of The Nibelung. In this way, he challenged the established way of listening by putting together sounds very differently.
