Rossini Opera Festival: Il Barbiere Di Siviglia

Since 1980, the Rossini Opera Festival has been taking place every summer in Rossini's birthplace Pesaro, a popular seaside resort on the Adriatic coast. It is dedicated to both the popular and the less well-known works of the master and has, as "Rossini's Bayreuth" advanced to one of the most important festivals in Italy. Rossini is the town's most famous son and shapes the city of Pesaro far beyond the festival.
