Rossini Opera Festival: Il Turco In Italia
Pesaro celebrates Rossini's art of comedy with delicious cinema bonds: Director Davide Livermore is well versed in the cross-genre comic repertoire of his home country. In his view of Rossini's Il Turco In Italia, the director shamelessly makes use of well-known heroic figures: Tenor René Barbera mutates from a Latin lover to Don Camillo, which gives the production of his love-filled high Ds a special humor and represents a well-calculated risk in the officially still very catholic and decent Italy. At his side: a dream ensemble on the stage of the cute Teatro Rossini in Pesaro. Speranza Scappucci conducts.
