Salzburg Festival: Mozarteumorchester Salzburg & Andrew Manze

In this Mozart Matinee, conductor Andrew Manze joined forces with horn player Rob van de Laar and pianist Francesco Piemontesi. The latter shone in the Coronation Concerto in D major K. 537 with finely sparkling elegance while Rob van de Laar was in no way inferior in his bravura solo performance of Mozart's Concerto for Horn and Orchestra in E flat major K. 417. Also on the programme: probably Mozart's most popular work: the Serenade in G major K. 525, better known as Die Kleine Nachtmusik.
