Staatskapelle Dresden On Tour

Classical music meets great works of art, Beethoven is performed in front of the Sistine Madonna! In times of Corona lockdowns, Staatskapelle Dresden together with Dresden State Art Collections made a virtue out of necessity: members of the renowned orchestra played at different unique locations of their hometown. Such as the Audience Hall or the Small Ballroom of Dresden Castle, which was opened for the public after its reconstruction only one year ago. The musicians also performed in the Old Masters Picture Gallery at Dresden’s famous Zwinger, and at the Albertinum, which hosts the New Masters Gallery and the Sculpture Collection. Indeed, a very special and amazing little concert tour!
