The Flood
Based upon the eponymous text of Yevgeny Zamiatin published in 1929, The Flood was written by author and director Joël Pommerat in close collaboration with composer Francesco Filidei. The two artists had set themselves a challenge; they wanted to think up a new form of opera. This long-term project started in 2016. Driven by the Opéra Comique, it gave birth to a truly lyrical thriller.
