The Sound Weavers: Einaudi, Richter, Hauschka
The documentary traces the successful phenomenon of this neo-classical art form and investigates its origins: What makes the form so popular? Would the performers even think of themselves as “neo-classical” – or do they reject the term as corporate identity created by marketing departments? Is it even possible to group them together musically? Is their music ingenious or simply comforting? Who is their audience and what is it that magically draws them? What makes their sounds so appealing? The documentary portrays the three most successful protagonists of this genre: Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter and Hauschka.
