Beethoven's 8th Symphony
Slovenian conductor Marko Letonja leads the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra in Beethoven's Eighth Symphony, followed by the Romance N°2 For Violin with soloist Charlotte Juilliard. On the square in front of the André-Malraux media library in Strasbourg, Symphony No° 8 comes to life under the baton of the Slovenian conductor Marko Letonja, who leads the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra. Particularly short and extremely joyful, this symphony, composed in 1812 and premiered in Vienna in February 1814, returns to a more classical style, close to Haydn and Mozart, while retaining certain characteristics of Beethoven's genius.
