From The Visible To The Invisible

Having been partially destroyed in the iconoclasm of the Reformation and kept in the catacombs of Naumburg Cathedral since, the historic altarpieces painted by Lucas Cranach the Elder will once again be put on display and completed with a new altar painting by the well-known German painter Michael Triegel in 2022. From the Visible To The Invisible offers the unique opportunity to portray an artist working on a painting over a long period of time and at the same time to follow the creation of a work of art that he himself describes as his most important to date.
