Untold – The Story Of Joseph Shabalala And Ladysmith Black Mambazo

Untold is the "official" story of a South African Icon, the late Dr Joseph Shabalala, the founding member of the five times Grammy award winning group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The film is a piece of unique musical and cultural history, of how one man overcame adversity to follow his dream and spread his rare vocal style, Isicathamiya, to the rest of the world. His voice intrigued Paul Simon who came in search of him during the mid-1980s, they collaborated on the Graceland album, producing songs like Diamonds on the Soul of her shoes, Homeless, and many others.
