Brahms In The European Capital Of Culture: Timișoara
Under the baton of Grammy Award winning conductor Cristian Măcelaru and together with pianist Simon Trpčeski, the WDR Symphony Orchestra performs Johannes Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2. Bound by a long friendship and artistic imagination, the extraordinary artists travel to Măcelaru's hometown Timișoara, Romania’s European Capital of Culture in 2023. Their journey takes them to one of the country's finest concert halls, the Capitol Hall of the Banatul Philharmonic. Formerly a movie theater, the Banatul now provides the perfect visual and acoustic backdrop for a top-notch concert experience.
