Identity: A Song Cycle

In early June 2020, Canadian baritone Elliot Madore opened up on social media about his struggles with “unabashedly expressing [his] identity” as a biracial person. Inspired by Elliot’s story, Against the Grain Theatre follows up their acclaimed film Messiah/Complex with this genre-bending musical exploration of race, fatherhood and our constantly evolving sense of who we are in a challenging world.
