Jan Lisiecki Plays And Conducts Chopin's Piano Concertos

At just 27, Jan Lisiecki has a musical maturity far beyond his age. For this concert opening the 2022 season in Oslo, the Canadian pianist is joined by the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra to play/conduct Chopin’s two beguiling piano concertos – continuing his Chopin journey after his mesmerizing recording of the nocturnes. Then fasten your seatbelts as the orchestra gives its signature memorized performance of Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony, plunging you directly into the heart of this blisteringly powerful music. The concert is performed in the Aula of the University of Oslo – a ceremonial hall adorned with murals by Edvard Munch.
