Lucas Santtana – Paradise Is Already Here

The innovative composer and singer Lucas Santtana takes us to his native Brazil, against a tense backdrop caused by the approaching 2022 presidential elections, that incurs Lula and Bolsonaro clash. Through politically resonating lyrics, he tells us about his childhood in Salvador de Bahia city, the influence of the dark times of colonization, paralleled with current repercussions of Bolsonaro's governance. This is an upcoming pilot to a documentary series, a committed musical journey around the world: each episode set around a reputed musician, guiding us through their country's strong social and cultural context.
