Ludwigsburg Festival: Iddo Bar-Shaï & Oksana Lyniv – Mozart, Chopin, Mahler
After debuts in Europe and abroad, Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv is now one of the best-known maestras in the world. In 2021, she was the first female conductor in Bayreuth with her debut production of The Flying Dutchman as the opening of the festival. In 2022, Oksana Lyniv became chief conductor of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. “Lyniv led Mahler’s Fifth Symphony into a complex sound heaven” (Bietigheimer Zeitung). “[The young Israeli pianist] Iddo Bar-Shaï thrilled the audience with his brilliantly sparkling touch and his art of phrasing, shaded to the utmost subtlety” (Reutlinger General-Anzeiger).
