Summer Night Concert 2022
In the midst of the baroque park landscape and framed by the extraordinary scenery of the festively illuminated Schönbrunn Palace and the Gloriette, the Summer Night’s Concert 2022 again took place as usual with many spectators on site. The Vienna Philharmonic invited Latvian conductor Andris Nelsons for the first time. French cellist Gautier Capuçon also joined in and made his debut on the Schönbrunn open-air stage. With a programme ranging from Beethoven and Rossini to Saint-Saëns, Enescu, Smetana and Dvořák, the Vienna Philharmonic once again wanted to emphasise Europe's cultural ties.
