Viktoria Mullova In Yokohama

Viktoria Mullova, one of the most celebrated violinists, gave a live performance in Yokohama. The Beethoven piece in the first half was presented by a Guadagnini with the period-style gut strings and a fortepiano. Pieces by Takemitsu, Pärt and Schubert were performed on the modern-style Stradivarius (Jules Falk) and a usual piano in the second half to an enthusiastic audience who had gathered in Yokohama. Scottish pianist Alasdair Beatson once again appeared alongside Mullova on stage.
