Vox Humana

Few people know that the distant Croatian Island Vis possesses even four historical organs. Two instruments are in Komiža, where in St. Mary's church the oldest organ in Dalmatia dating back to 1670 resides, and two in Vis. The organ located in the Church of the Blessed Mary, made by the Italian organ builder Ettore del Chiaro, dates back to 1886. The story follows the path of these organs from completely unusable instrument through the restoration in the First Croatian Art Workshop for constructions of organs Heferer, until their return after ten years in full glory and magnificent sound.
