Orphea In Love

With "Orphea in Love," director Axel Ranisch takes a well-known material as a playground, telling it in a hybrid form of opera and film. A young call centre agent falls in love with a petty criminal street dancer. She is Orpheus. He is Eurydice. She expresses herself through song, he through dance. For her great love, she descends into the underworld, faces old demons and learns to trust again. The story will be told in the present moment as an operatic pastiche between Puccini, Handel and pop songs in a complete new way.
