“NuBody” featuring inspirational dancer-choreographer Sonia Sabri, depicts the on-going female struggle and redefines more traditional Kathak style of dance to give an urban futuristic edge to a story of womanhood. Sonia’s mesmerising performance explores themes such as the transition from child to woman and constraints facing women around the world. Using exquisite storytelling with just body movements and facial expressions Sonia explores how society seeks to marginalise women and girls. “Nu Body” is a moving story of female empowerment and liberation and highlights that for women and girls around the world there are still barriers that need to be overcome.
