Paysages Mixtes/Mixed Landscapes
In this brand new dance film, performed and directed by Quebec choreographer Harold Rheaume and Scottish screendance artist Katrina McPherson, the viewer becomes witness to the many nuanced versions of the couple’s relationship, as they move through a series of duets and solos, filmed in evocative rural and urban landscapes in Quebec and Scotland. In response to Paysages Mixtes/Mixed Landscapes, Karl Jay-Lewin has written: “Full of history and fragments of stories, at times quite unworldly, unnerving and a touch frightening. The work is dense, yet it is the absence of everything in between the fragments, the absence of words, which makes it so powerful.”
