Fazıl Say & Camerata Salzburg: Beethoven And Mozart

  • Fazıl Say © Marco Borggreve

Ludwig van Beethoven’s final Piano Concerto gives the soloist plenty of freedom, especially in the final part, which almost sounds like it’s improvised. It’s the perfect match for Fazil Say – after all, the pianist is one of the most creative interpreters of his generation. Next comes Mozart’s final Salzburg Serenade, complete with post horn solo. The Camerata Salzburg are on home turf with the work, as Mozart is part of the orchestra’s core repertoire. The combination of established experts with the composer’s unrivaled individuality gives rise to a unique intensity.
