The Holland Festival, the Royal Conservatoire and the Dutch National Opera have come up with the quasi megalomaniac plan to stage composer Karlheinz Stockhausen’s complete opera cycle Licht in 2019. This will be the biggest, most expensive and most spectacular project in the history of the Holland Festival and the Dutch National Opera: the full cycle, consisting of seven parts, will be performed on seven consecutive nights for three runs.
