Midsummer Night's Gala Grafenegg 2018

The Wolkenturm, Grafenegg’s award-winning contemporary open-air stage, is a rendezvous for world-renowned music stars appearing in opera, operetta and musical. The Midsummer Night's Gala Grafenegg marks the start of the summer festival season and is a perfect example of joie de vivre. In 2018, soprano Pretty Yende from South Africa and tenor Joseph Calleja from Malta sang in front of the fairytale backdrop of Grafenegg Castle. As a third soloist, the young cellist Harriet Krijgh appeared on stage – she also finished her studies in Austria, played at the Vienna Musikverein and started her own festival at Feistritz castle.
