Anne-Sophie Mutter Plays Film Music

  • Anne-Sophie Mutter © ZDF / Dita Vollmond

It was a special day for renowned violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter in Munich: for the first time in her outstanding musical career she played open-air, performing music of her good friend, the great American film composer John Williams. Especially for this occasion, Williams, who wrote the soundtracks for blockbusters like Star Wars, Harry Potter and Jurassic Parc, adapted his scores, transforming them into virtuosic concertos for violin and orchestra. Anne-Sophie Mutter's concert at Munich’s Königsplatz, featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor David Newman, was a unique event with an exciting musical performance and a spectacular stage design.
