Fate
The television record of Leoš Janáček's opera Osud (Fate) is a spectacular, period production showing a tragic love story with emotional music. The libretto shows strong autobiographical elements, inspired by specific characters, environment and situations from Janáček's life. The production of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre is only the sixth production of this opera in the Czech Republic and there does not exist any official record of the opera. In the last few years, this work is increasingly gaining ground at eminent opera houses abroad.
