This year's Guest of Honour belongs to the illustrious group of Oscar-winning composers: Gabriel Yared. In 1997, he won the Academy Award for his impressive score for Anthony Minghella’s Drama, The English Patient. The film won 9 Oscars, making it one of the most successful Oscar-winners of all time. Gabriel Yared is a many-faceted artist and his elegant, sensual musical style has made him one of the most outstanding film composers in the world. His greatest successes include major Hollywood films such as the Nicholas Cage movie City Of Angels, or The Talented Mr. Ripley with Matt Damon.
