The Järvis: A Conducting Dynasty

  • © sounding images

The Järvis are world-class conductors who could hardly be more different. From January to December, Paavo, Kristjan and Neeme Järvi give concerts all over the world, but once a year the three conductors join forces for a musical festival of their own in their native Estonia. As a threesome they hold classes on conducting and rehearse together for Korale For 80, Kristjan’s homage to his father Neeme, conducted by Paavo. Special guest is Truls Mørk playing Antonín Dvořák’s Cello Concerto.
