Così Fan Tutte – Salzburg Festival 2020

Defying the dreadful Covid pandemic, the Salzburg Festival celebrated its centennial with an adapted festival programme. Stage director Christof Loy developed a shortened version of Mozart’s opera Così Fan Tutte, that primarily focuses on the art and effect of directing people. Marianne Crebassa took on the role of Dorabella and conductress Joana Mallwitz made a double debut: for the first time she conducted the Wiener Philharmoniker in Salzburg, being the first female musical director of a major opera production at the festival.
